What A Day!

Mommy and I had a wonderfully exhausting day! First we went and saw Dr. Joe, my surgeon, and while we waited for Dr. Joe a very nice lady in the waiting room told Mommy we should check out the Animal Enrichment Center for my training needs. We realized it was on our way home so we stopped there.

Mommy talked for a long time- so long that I piddled on the floor- to a very nice lady named April. They talked about all my bad behaviors, my training needs, and then Mommy went shopping in their retail store. Mommy and I are both so excited about the great things we found we couldn't wait to share them with you!

Mommy put some kibble and treats in this when we got home and I was so busy I let her and Daddy eat their dinner without interrupting!

Mommy decided it was time for me to have a safety harness for the car since I have outgrown my car carrier. I haven't had a chance to take it for a test drive but when I do I will update this post with my opinion and if you are lucky, a picture or two. BOL! Mine is size Medium, black and silver- not very feminine, but it will do I guess.

After we shopped, Mommy and I went across town to pay rent- cause today is the 5th, always the procrastinator- then we went and picked up Big B. at Grandma's house, went through the drive-thru to get dinner and came home. I am so tired now I think I am going to sleezzzzz.....

Animal Enrichment Center - I'm Going To Skool!

Mommy heard of this incredible place called the Animal Enrichment Center today and she couldn't wait to share it with all of you! 

The Animal Enrichment Center is a beautiful facility located in Vancouver, Washington that offers a full range of services.

Including:

• "Everything In The Ark" Animal Training

• Dogliness Pet Wash & Day Spa (Self Service and/or Full Service)

• Small Dog Playgroups

• Doggy Daycare

When visiting the AEC, Mommy was so impressed by the knowledgeable staff, reasonable pricing, and clean facility that Mommy says I get to start skool in February! Isn't that fantastic! We are going to start with one private obedience class (1 hr. = $50.00) to focus specifically on my nipping and leash manners. Then I am going to start a 6 week class called "K-9 Associates Degree." Lets see any Human get an "Associates Degree" in 6 weeks, Pshh! BOL! 

I can't wait to start skool and get me some smarts! Then I can go on and get my "Bachelors," "Masters," and "Doctorate!" Can you believe I am going to school to be a Doctor! Silly Humans! BOL! At least I will be able to take care of Mommy in her old age! 

*I should be getting paid for this. Hmm, maybe they will give Mommy a discount...*

At Dr. Joe's For a Check-up On My Eye

Mommy took me to have a check-up with Dr. Joe (my surgeon) today.

He is really happy about how good my eye looks! Said I have no ear issueseither. He told Mommy she should consider keeping my e-collar on at night when we are asleep because she can not be there to monitor me. We all would HATE to go backwards in the healing process.

Mommy is a collar junkie so Preston has

It is hard to believe how tiny Preston’s first

collar is. It only lasted 3 weeks.

Mommy Took My E-Collar Off...

just long enough to adjust the size and snap some photos, then she put it back on. *whimper* Oh, and I have lost two of my baby teeth already!

A note from Annabelle Puggle...

Tonight we found a frozen little female Pug in the snow who was lost! We brought her home and warmed her up, put a poster up near our home, and put an add on Craigslist. So far nobody has attempted to claim the sweet little dog. I think that she is very old, Mommy and Daddy are worried about her. She looks like she has arthritis, she is very skinny, very dirty, the top of her paws are pink, and she cannot eat very well because her tongue is too big for her mouth. She is afraid to walk down stairs. Please leave a comment if you know who owns the pug or have any advice. Thanks, Annabelle

*UPDATE: Annabelle and her Mom took the lost little pug to the vet today to be scanned for a Microchip. She does not have one. She appears to be at least 10 years old and has cataracts. Someone has cared for and loved this dog for 10 years, why are they not searching for her now? The good news is: a very nice person has stepped forward and offered to adopt the poor pug if her owners don't come forward in a two week time period. They know she is not in the best health condition but want to provide for her for the remainder of her life. This is great news for this little girl because she would most certainly be put down at a shelter. 

If you know anyone in the Oregon or Washington area that are missing a pug please let them know about this little girl!!!

I hear stories all the time about animals traveling very long distances to try and get back with their families! What if she was taken by someone from far away, they brought her to Washington, and then she escaped from them to try and get back home. She could be 100's of miles from home and her owners will never see our Found Ads! Please re-post this, re-tweet this, use whatever means you have a available to get the word out.

Not one person re-tweeted my post the other day and this breaks my heart! This girl needs help! Can you spare 140 characters to spread the word?

* UPDATE 1/8/2010! Annabelle Puggle reports: Little Pug, now known as Sophie, has found a forever home. She goes to live with them on Monday and will have a sister Pug named Paisley.

*Update 1/11/2010 From Annabelle:

Miss Sophie is going to her new home today. We all love her and are very sad to see her leave but she has an awesome family who will no doubt take excellent care of her.

Isn't this just precious? This is the last photo we too of Sophie before she went to her new home.

UPDATE 2/19/10 from Annabelle Puggle:

Sad update on our friend Sophie (the little lost pug). My Mommy ran into Sophie's new parents at PetSmart. Sophie recently had to be put to sleep to end her suffering. According to their Vet, Sophie was severely abused in her previous home. Her jaw was broken, both front shoulders were dislocated, she was missing many teeth, and based on her current health status, it appeared that she was not fed properly long before we found her abandoned in the snow. Sophie was very well loved near the end of her life. She spent many nights in her Mommy's arms snoring away. The sweet little girl will suffer no more. **Kisses**

Peace be with you Sophie! There are many anipals waiting with open arms to welcome you to Rainbow Bridge. R.I.P.

Happy New Year!

I would like to wish a Happy New Year to all my special anipals and their people!

My resolutions are:

1) getting this damn satellite dish off my head, for good!

2) stop biting Mommy and Little Brother.

3) pay real good attention in school so I can get some smarts.

4) not dig no more holes under grandma's fence.

5) ...be nice to the kittehs. (maybe)

• $1.99. Very similar to PetMinder (above). Unlimited number of pets, add birthdays, breed, weight traching, allergies, identification numbers, etc. Ability to email selected details to vet, pet sitter, etc.

4. Fido Factor

• $ Free. "Mobile guide to dog friendly lacations in San Fransisco, Boston, New York, Portland. Restaurants, Beaches, Shopping, Pet stores, Services (groomers, Vets, etc.), Lodging, and more."

5. PetCentric

• $ Free. "Purina's PetCentric Places allow you to take your pet more places and spend more time together. Easy tool for pet lovers to find pet friendly places and information anytime, anywhere.
